ABOUT ME

It takes one to create several visions

My own work in photography is always a work in progress. I started learning about photography when I obtained my first bachelor degree in Mathematics Sciences with minors in Chemistry and Photography from the University of Sacred Heart, Puerto Rico. After some elective courses in photography, I was intrigued by Nitza Luna, Henri Catier-Berson and Pete Turner works. I relocated to Chicago in 1992 to complete my studies in photography and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Columbia College, Chicago. My subject matter is the study of lighting and color. Each photograph is taken with positive film from both my 645 and 35 mm cameras and printed on Fuji color Crystal Paper Metallic or Luster Surface to ensure longevity, preventing discoloring or fading thus adding value to my work. It is my pleasure to share my work via my online gallery, here on this website, and at art fairs. Please take this time to look through my work or share it with others while at the same time feeling free to contact me with any questions you may have. Warm wishes, Oscar Matos Linares.
